Wine Tour from Kutaisi

Tour starts with a short introductory tour about Kutaisi by visiting Bagrati Cathedral.
For a wine testing we will head to our Family Winery – Nikoladze WineHouse , located 30 minutes drive from Kutaisi. We will test 2 (or 3) white, 1 red wine, 2 kind of Chacha (local vodka): one refined, and another pure as distilled from grapes.

We will introduce winemaking technology, process of wine fermentation and different tools used in producing the Saint drink of Georgians. As a snack, could be offered different kind of cheese with a Georgian bread or homemade khachapuri.

“Everything started by our grandfather making wine in open winery under the shadow of huge walnut tree. From the very childhood I used to learn primitive tools for cleaning qvevry , grape pressing and wine fermentation.
Reaching my forties, I realized that it’s time to return to the point, where everything have started . And I buried my first Qvevri.”
